Jose Patino
Born in Manta, Ecuador. Graduated from Queens College, where he studied primarily as a sculptor and video installation artist. After graduating Jose went on to make several short films in the capacity of both director and cameraman. La Araña, marked the first film he directed alongside longtime collaborator Vincent Zambrano. Shadowboxing is the first feature from both Jose and Vincent. As well as directing, he has also been the editor on La Araña and Shadowboxing.
Vincent Zambrano
Born in Manta, Ecuador, Vincent studied in the U.S. at the School of Visual Arts, then achieved his bachelor's degree in Fine Arts at the Fashion Institute of Technology. He then went on to direct several short films before writing and directing La Araña with longtime collaborator Jose Patino. Along with co-directing Shadowboxing, Vincent also produced the completely independent film.
